Dear Mrs. Littleton,
It has been on my heart for quite sometime to write to you with an update on my life and all the countless blessings God continues to flood over me. I give all the glory to my father in heaven, family and friends for support and many prayers and especially to the Home of Grace. It seems that hardly a day passes that I do not relate all that I learned and experienced there to my everyday life and how it is encouragement to friends and family members that are in some way affected by addiction.
When you said" Get all you can and can all you get", I did just that and carry that can everywhere I go.
It took coming back thru the Home of Grace a second time and moving as far away as Houston, Texas to escape the power of Methamphetamine, old people, places, and things or maybe just as Brother Bolte says," You thought you were coming to the Home of Grace to get off drugs and alcohol, but God had a different plan, somehow relates the same way I thought I was coming to Houston to escape the power of drugs.....Oh but God had a different plan.
I couldn't see it when the plane landed a little less than a year ago with only one suitcase in hand, all the blessings God had in store for me...Because I was obedient he has restored to me just exactly what the Bible says (Seven Fold) all that the enemy had stolen.
Drugs and the power of addiction took my children, my Mother, my family, my home, my self worth, esteem, my looks and almost my life, but today Mrs. Littleton, I want you to know and anyone that will listen...The Home of Grace saved my life, it saved 3 precious children's Mother, my Mother's daughter, restored my family and gave me all the necessary tools and stomping shoes to keep the enemy under my feet.
I have been free and clean for a year, a full time student at the Court Reporting Institute of Houston and most important the Mother, daughter, and sister God intending me to be.
I was sitting in the Chapel at the Home of Grace when God said "Go West" and here I am today walking in his will and not mine...it's an awesome journey!!!
Thank you precious lady for the Home of Grace, I will never forget my experience there and how it has affected my life. I am very grateful to you and all the staff for being a part of God's transformation of ashes into beauty.
May God rain down blessing after blessing over you and "The Home of Grace".
Sincerely,
Lori Ann Latham
